History and outdoor activities are the discoveries awaiting you at the Chute-à-Bull Regional Park. The park comprises six (6) kilometers of trails for hiking enthusiasts to enjoy. Along the way, you can discover the history of the forest industry and appreciate the replica of the village’s covered bridge. A stop at the Belvedere will allow you to admire Saint-Côme’s still wild nature. While you’re there, take a break at the top or at the foot of our 18-meter-high waterfall to relax with your feet in the water!
In the wintertime, strap on your snowshoes or crampons and discover our breathtaking waterfall with its icy coat on.
In summer and winter, you can extend your stay thanks to our three (3) available shelters. That way, nature enthusiasts can extend their journey and follow the park’s trails, which are connected to the National Trail and all the way to Saint-Côme!
Rich in exceptional flora and fauna, the Chute-à-Bull Regional Park invites you to explore its six (6) kilometers of hiking trails. The park offers short hiking options, perfect for families. You can easily create your itinerary by checking out the park’s map.
The waterfall trail takes you along the Boule River, where waterfalls and cascades follow one another. Enjoy a picnic on the terraces along the stairs that lead to our highest waterfall (20 m).
The Belvédère trail will take you across the river under a covered bridge and then up to the summit to a magnificent viewpoint. Observe the majestic white pines that accompany you on your way up.
The Dam Trail and the Trappeur Trail are the perfect combo for a hike without too much elevation change. Take a moment to listen to the gentle sounds of the forest around you.

Here is important information to help you plan your trip:
The guided tour is about 1h long. This activity lasts from 3h to 3.5h in total, which includes the hike there.
Trail to the cave: A 2.5 km hike will lead you to the cave’s opening. It is a 5 km round trip. The cave is located in front of the Belvedere. Be aware that the cave opening can only be accessed after climbing many long stairs. Guests must be in good physical shape and wear appropriate footwear (such as hiking shoes or boots).

From he begining of May until June 22nd: On Saturday and Sunday.
Summer Season: from Saint-Jean Baptiste until the end of August: from Wednesday to Sunday.
September: on Saturdays and Sundays until September 28th. NEW! In September, two tours are held on Saturday nights.

Rules to visit the cave:
Show up 15 minutes before the time written on your ticket provided by the front desk.
Dogs are forbidden.
Alcohol, smoking cigarettes/marijuana/vaping are forbidden.
You should bring: a water bottle, insect repellent, walking shoes or boots, warm clothes (it can get chilly in the cave!)
New in Lanaudière, here is the activity to try: Canyoning! It’s an outdoor activity that consists in descending in a river with particular techniques of movement: walking, jumping, swimming, sliding, descent by abseiling, and other techniques of progression on a rope. It is an initiation course and you only need to be over 14 years old and in good physical condition to participate. Specialized equipment will be provided, all you have to do is bring a good pair of sneakers to play in the waterfall!
When winter sets in, the same trails are accessible with snowshoes or crampons, depending on the weather conditions. They crisscross the park through snow-covered white and red pine and spruce trees. This is the time of year when the waterfalls are covered in ice. Combine a snowshoeing trip with the trails of the Saint-Côme Snowshoe Club, which are accessible throughout the park.

Chute-à-Bull Regional Park
DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Domestic animals are allowed in a regional park, provided that they are kept on a leash not exceeding two (2) meters in length at all times, with the exception of public beaches, as well as on the cross-country ski trails of the Ouareau Forest Regional Park during the winter period.
At all times, the owner must pick up their animal’s droppings and dispose of them in an appropriate place.
The animals must not enter the buildings (reception area, sanitary block, shelter, etc.) at any time.
Animals must be under constant supervision of the owner.
CAMPING/SHELTER STAY
Camping in a regional park is prohibited other than in areas specifically designated for that purpose.
It is forbidden to camp in a regional park without having paid the camping fee.
The arrival time for short stays is between 3:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.
All persons camping in the park must vacate their campsite by 12:00 noon on the last day of their stay. The site must be left in the same condition as when you arrived.
CAMPING SITE
A campsite may contain one (1) piece of camping equipment, with the exception of sites determined by the park administration, which may receive additional equipment.
CURFEW AND QUIET TIME
The curfew is from 11:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. During this period, no noise that could be heard from the neighboring site is permitted within the campsites.
SPECIFIC MEASURES FOR DRONES
In order to minimize the impact on the guest experience and wildlife, the use of drones for recreational purposes is not permitted in regional parks.
Follow the indications by row des Venne, which you can access from Route 347 or by the chemin de la Ferme.
When the registration center is closed, you must pay your access fee at the pay station.
